Hi. I was going to post a very helpful resource I just found for learning math concepts, but the topic that was already posted that this could've fit into is locked.
Anyway, here's another resource for understanding math concepts. It is at:
http://www.mathsisfun.com/index.htm
It categorizes the concepts by age level, so you might have to figure out where the proper page is by looking thru categories within the age range, or maybe do a search on the site for the concept you're wanting to learn. I happened on this site by doing a search on something (I forgot what I was looking for), so not sure how I would've gotten to that same page thru this site if it hadn't already been in the DuckDuckGo search results.
Anyway, after exploring that and several more pages, I can say that this site is very good at explaining concepts in detail, including walking you thru examples. Many of the explanations including there examples are very accessible and easy to understand, and there are also practice problems and games (although I wouldn't know if these are just as accessible because I haven't tried them).
Being one who has to see a problem in front of me to get it, this has been one of the best sites I've found so far for that. I wish I would've found it earlier when I was actually in a math class, but this has actually gotten me interested in learning math concepts on my own. *smile* Plus, I wanted to share this info with anyone still taking or needing to take math. I do hope this helps.
Thanks for this. I've also found one at MathPortal.org I believe, which has categories by subject. The problems seem to be in images but the solutions are there. I'll have to check this site out.
intresting indeed maybe I'll have to check it out someday.
